Week 121: “Criminal Thug Rap Poetry Night at the Obama White House”

In a relatively short period of time our diverse and multi-cultural nation has produced some of the most gifted and influential poets of all time. Troubled souls and patriots an eclectic group sure enough that could only exist in a country that puts such a high premium on the freedom of speech.

Poetic literary giants of the past include Louisa May Alcot; William Cullen Bryant; E. E. Cummings; Emily Dickinson; T. S. Eliot; Ralph Waldo Emerson; Robert Frost; Oliver Wendell Holmes; Joyce Kilmer; Henry Wadsworth Longfellow; Edgar Allan Poe; Carl Sandburg; Mark Twain; Henry David Thoreau; and Walt Whitman. Present day poets of note include Maya Angelou, Denise Duhamel, and Judith Skillman.

A list of folks that certainly consist of some serious head cases, tortured souls and troubled individuals chock full of inner demons. However, no one who supports and advocates convicted cop killers and therein lays the rub.

Turns out the First Couple invited the likes of some foul mouthed, criminal, thug, Hip Hop, low life rapper named Common to headline Children’s Poetry Day at the White House last week. With such a rich heritage of American Poets to choose from to inspire and motivate the youngins extending the invitation to a racist, misogynous, common criminal seems extreme even for this bunch.

That is right on up to the time we find out Common, just like his good friends the Obamas, is a disciple of the GD America racist leader of the radically extreme Black Liberation Theology Church, the always effervescing Reverend Jeremiah Wright. Obviously another blatant attempt by the Socialist Obama Regime to win the hearts and minds of America’s youth over to their left of left Marxist agenda.

According to the left wing media elite press boneheads when compared to most gangster rappers Common is nothing but a harmless boy scout. His abusive language, racist remarks, and advocacy of violence pale in comparison to the hardcore criminal rappers leading this no talent and totally lacking of any socially redemptive qualities fringe element of our seriously misguided youth that need to pull up their drawers, turn around the baseball caps and learn to speak English.

His glorification of convicted cop killers is nothing more than an overly enthusiastic youthful indiscretion. The liberal’s defense of this bottom feeding accomplice to murder is truly a sad commentary on the state of the free press and so called progressive thought leaders in this country.

• Another rap includes a passage criticizing white women who date black men: “I don’t know what it is/ but white girls gettin’ ass/ I know what it is/ It’s cash.”

Please tell us our First Couple can do better by our youngins than this unadulterated sleaze. A White House endorsement of this “Common Criminal” demeans the office and the stature of the Presidency to a level not seen around these parts since the abject incompetence of the Peanut Administration and criminality of the Nixon White House.

If W or any other Republican knowingly not only associated with but also endorsed a racist, criminal scumbag the likes of Common by giving him a platform at the White House the main stream media elite would have run them out of town on a rail, justifiably so. Their silence about the no talent thug rapper Common is deafening.

Next time the Obamas get a hankering to invite a poet/song writer to the White House we’d highly recommend Buffett, Jerry Jeff, Hank Jr. or Toby Keith. In our way of reckoning “A Country Boy Can Survive” beats the hell out of “Pimp Diddy Ho Down” when celebrating great American poetry hands down, no contest, each and every time, ain’t no never mind about it.
