Thoughts of Obama From Bama
Week 106: Barack “Ronald Wilson Reagan” Obama
I'm going to be a happy idiot
And struggle for the legal tender
Where the ads take aim and lay their claim
To the heart and the soul of the spender
And believe in whatever may lie
In those things that money can buy
Thought true love could have been a contender
Are you there?
Say a prayer for the Pretender
Who started out so young and strong
Only to surrender The Pretender, Jackson Browne
One thing for damn sure our Pretender-in-Chief and his gang of Hope/Change/Believe/and Yes We Canners truly are audacious in word and deed. Misguided, corrupt, incompitent, devious, hypocritical, decitful and even dangerous but still audacious just the same.
After all when considering the damage inflicted on our freedoms and the Constitution in only 106 weeks by this gang ain’t no never mind about it they have pursued a bold and ambitious agenda. Socialist, subversive, and anti-American but also still audacious just the same.
Examples abound:
• Obamacare – Government takeover of US Healthcare System
• A trillion dollar stimulus bill, the most expensive in the history of the civilized world, that yielded double digit unemployment and anemic economic growth
• Nationalization of US auto industry
• Appointment of self described Marxist/Socialist to high level staff positions
• Piled up record breaking 1.5 trillion annual deficit
• Added 5 trillion to national debt. An audacious 50% increase in two years.
• Claims they saved the economy from sliding into another great depression
• Further claim they believe in balanced budgets and fiscal responsibility
• Attempts to close down domestic oil industry
• Intrusive job killing financial regulation
Their latest completely over the top totally absurd propaganda initiative is an attempt to position our 44th President, Barack Husain Obama, as our 40th President, Ronald Reagan incarnate. They have unsuccessfully tried for months to portray President Obama as Abe Lincoln’s second coming which never caught on because the American people would never confuse a truly great man of substance, vision, courage, and integrity with a Bolshevik, light weight, empty suit full of empty rhetoric of questionable character.
As absurd as Mr. Obama’s pretending to be Ronald Reagan is to anyone with a lick of sense the White House propaganda machine had no trouble what so ever recruiting several members of the media elite main stream press to advance this ridiculous story. It all started with Breaking news urgently relayed by serious looking correspondents wearing Tommy Bahama Hawaiian print shirts informing us the President was reading a few Reagan biographies during his Christmas vacation in the Islands.
Next thing you know (ole Jed’s a millionaire) several prominent liberal anchors and journalist are talking about Reagan and Obama being identical twins separated at birth by evil GOP political operatives. Ultra left wing head cases promoting this insanity include ABC’s resident Jihadist sympathizer Christiane Amanpour; Political hack and hyper partisan flake Chris Mathews at MSNBC; and still cute, perky and dumb as a bag of hammers CBS’s Katie Courik who all dutifully remarked how Reaganess Obama’s performance was at his State of the Union is Socialist speech last week.
To top this charade off Time Magazine has a photo of the happy couple on their cover. President Obama smiling from one giant gargantuan humongous ear to the other embraced by the Gipper with the caption “Peas and Carrots, Political Soul Mates, Tight as a Tick, Obama Truly is Reagan Reincarnate.”
Only problem with the White House’s most recent propaganda campaign to hoodwink we the people again is the simple fact that in reality these two gentlemen have absolutely nothing in common. Truth be told they are polar opposites as different as night and day; weak and strong; right and wrong; as far apart on the issues as Sarah Palin and Rosie “Chocolate Covered Cream Filled” O’Donnell.
Following is a comparative analyses of the life and times of Ronald Wilson Reagan and Barack Husain Obama:
• REAGAN – Conservative icon, strong advocate of American exceptionalism and our leadership role in the world
OBAMA – Radical left wing secular progressive Marxist/Socialist. Blame America first apologist
• REAGAN – Born Tampico, IL, 1911
OBAMA – Born Honolulu, HI 1961
• REAGAN – Raised in small towns in Illinois, especially Dixon. Attended church religiously, played sports, worked as lifeguard.
OBAMA – Raised in Honolulu, Kenya, Moscow and Havana. Secular upbringing, played bball, and spent free time smoking dope, doing vodka shots and snorting cocaine
• REAGAN – Graduated from Eureka College with a double major in Economics and Sociology
OBAMA – Occidental, Columbia, Harvard Law. Undergraduate degrees in Political Science, Socialist Revolutions, and Teleprompter Oratory
• REAGAN – Served stateside (poor eyesight) during WWII as an officer in the Army Air Corps
OBAMA – Sees military as a good photo opp
• REAGAN – Actor, B movies and TV. GE Spokesperson
OBAMA – Community Organizer, Socialist advocacy group ACORN
• REAGAN – President, Screen Actors Guild; two term Governor of California OBAMA – Four term Illinois State Senator. US Senator for twoish years
• REAGAN – Led with honor and distinction; won the cold war; cut taxes; championed supply side economics; established conservatism as prominent political movement of the 21s century
OBAMA – Leads by a constant barrage of misinformation; fear mongering; class warfare; race baiting; creating the illusion of a crisis and a sense of urgency on every policy initiative
• REAGAN – Political philosophy and viewpoint in his own words:
'Here's my strategy on the Cold War: We win, they lose.'
'The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.'
'The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so.'
'Of the four wars in my lifetime, none came about because the U.S. was too strong.'
'I have wondered at times about what the Ten Commandments would have looked like if Moses had run them through the U.S. Congress.'
'Government is like a baby: An alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no sense of responsibility at the other.'
'The nearest thing to eternal life we will ever see on this earth is a government program.'
'It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first.'
'Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.'
OBAMA - In his own words:
"We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK,"
"I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets."
"Political discussions, the kind at Occidental had once seemed so intense and purposeful, came to take on the flavor of the socialist conferences I sometimes attended at Cooper Union"
"Well, Charlie, what I’ve said is that I would look at raising the capital gains tax for purposes of fairness."
"We're not trying to push financial reform because we begrudge success that's fairly earned. I mean, I do think at a certain point you've made enough money …”
“My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it.”
Reckon President Obama pretending to be Ronald Reagan ain’t the worse thing that could happen. Just imagine how bad it might be if he had selected Jimmy Carter.
Besides, maybe some of the Gippers freedom loving morning in America optimism will rub off on our Bolshevik-in-Chief. Doubtful, but wouldn’t that be some change we could all believe in.
I am, “American by Birth and Southern by the Grace of God”
