Thoughts of Obama From Bama

Week 109: Cheese Heads & Boneheads

Now the man with the big hat is buying
Drink up while the drinking is free
Drink up to the cowboys a dead or a dying
Drink to my compadres and me
Drink to my compadres and me “The Man With the Big Hat”
Jerry Jeff Walker

Wisconsin Public Service Employee Union members, teachers, have adorned their tacky but tolerably cute Cheese Heads made famous by the Super Bowl Champion Packer Nation and in the best of the 60’s style stick it to the man protest mode descended on the State Capital in Madison to whine like a wounded hound dog about how unfairly the new GOP Administration is treating the under paid unappreciated state public servants.

It would seem the new Republican Governor and GOP State Senate’s proposed legislation terminating the insane practice of conducting non salary collective bargaining with the Public Sector Education Union ain’t exactly setten to well with the good teachers of Wisconsin.
Back in our nation’s capital, bless his Bolshevik Labor Union lovin heart he just can’t seem to help it, our “Bonehead-in-Chief” has interjected the power and prestige of the Office of the President in what should be limited to a Statewide reaction at the most.

Mr. Obama has publicly denounced the Governor’s intiative as nothing more than a blatant abuse of power and heavy handed union busting policy.Even more disturbing the President’s personal political machine, Organizing for America, thrusted the long, intrusive, oppressive arm of the Obama Regime into this local shindig providing buses to transport striking government workers to the protests, mobilizing phone banks, rallying protesters from nearby states, and initiating a propaganda campaign promoting class warfare and demonizing Wisconsin GOP Governor Scott Walker and Republican State legislatures.

With the Arab dominos starting to fall one by one in the Middle East and our Administration’s pathetic lack of support for genuine Democratic reforms while concurrently welcoming international terrorist front group, the Muslim Brotherhood, to the negotiations table with open arms and a big sloppy wet kiss; inflation and especially the price of oil rising faster than a scalded dog running home to Momma; a nasty showdown looming with House GOP budget hawks over his record shattering Federal budget deficits and an almost $15 Trillion dollar accumulated national debt what’s so doggone important about an illegal Teacher’s Union walkout in Madison, Wisconsin that it warrants the personal involvement of the most powerful man in the world?

As hard to believe as it might be how does Money, Politics and the 2012 elections strike your fancy? Consider the following:

• Public Sector Unions are our “Bonehead-in-Chief’s” campaign contributions Sugar Daddy
• According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics 36.2% of public- sector workers (7.6 million) are Union members and the number of public-sector union members is rising.
• The BLS reports the average annual wage for a state-government employee is now $48,742 compared to $45,155 for a worker in the private sector. The Bureau also found the cost of benefits for state and local government workers has risen 50% more than those for private-sector employees since 2001.
• The President can’t win in 2012 without heavy Public Sector Union support and will say or do anything or destroy anyone to maintain their favor.
• His involvement in this domestic insanity diverts attention from his lack of leadership and a coherent plan for dealing with the chaos in the Middle East
• At heart the President will always be a community/labor organizer and will align himself on the Marxist/Socialist Union’s fighten side at the drop of a hat
.

Truth be told public sector unions should probably be outlawed as their credibility, necessity and legality are in serious question. Ronald Reagan recognized this reality when he shut down the air traffic controllers attempted revolution back in the 1980’s and even the Father of American Socialism hiself, FDR, disagreed with their formation.

Public employee unions also have an unfair advantage as they operate outside of the control of the free market as they really don’t have any competition. Public employees aren’t subjected to the consequences of poor performance like the rest of us poor dumb pilgrims in the private sector.

An overwhelming majority of Americans don’t have any heart burn at all over public sector employees kicking in 10 to 20% of the cost of their healthcare and retirement benefits. Considering the fact most in the private sector pay far more and aren’t protected by antiquated tenure systems neither we seriously doubt they should expect a whole lot of sympathy from the rest of us who actually foot the bill for all this extravagance.

High time for the Cheese Heads to get back to work. As for the Boneheads at the White House y’all might consider a little leadership in the Middle East before gas hits $5 bucks a gallon and the entire region sinks to the seventh level of hell.

I am, “American by Birth and Southern by the Grace of God”
